Brisbane is experiencing an early taste of summer today, but the temperature won't be as hot as earlier predicted with a cool change heading towards southeast Queensland. The weather bureau predicted that temperatures throughout southeast Queensland could reach 10 degrees higher than the average season temperature. Cooler weather is on its way following a spike in the mercury between 1:00pm and 2:00pm in the afternoon on Thursday. The average September temperature in Spring for southeast Queensland is around 25 degrees and the forecast for Brisbane’s weekend will be 23 degrees. The Rural Fire Service in Queensland says the fire behaviour in the state is moderate; there are 30 active fires being contained and fought at the moment.
