After being pulled more than 1.6 kilometers from Westminster Abbey on a gun carriage by 142 Royal Navy sailors, the coffin was transferred to a hearse at Wellington Arch, near Buckingham Palace. Kerri Parker, a 38-year-old from Norwich, was crowned herself as Ms. Universe World International in Miami last month. She’s raised thousands of dollars for brain tumour research. Neville Tonkin, in Manchester, had automatically qualified for a keepsake tribute from the Queen when he reached the centenarian mark — a tradition dating back to the reign of King George I.
King Charles III and other senior royals are marching behind the coffin to Wellington Arch at Hyde Park Corner. Tens of thousands of people are lining the route.Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and his wife Sophie Grégoire Trudeau have left Westminster Abbey following the state funeral for Queen Elizabeth.
In a sermon at the monarch’s funeral in Westminster Abbey, the leader of the Church of England said the queen “was joyful, present to so many, touching a multitude of lives.”
