Quarter-pole Q&A with Flames GM Brad Treliving
Q: Has there been a specific game or stretch that sticks out for you as really showing what this team is capable of?
Treliving: “I think he’s been playing well. You watch Jonathan’s game and I think for a long stretch now, he’s been creating a lot. His game is creating opportunities for others. The reality is he was hurt. He got hurt early in the season and he was battling through a couple of injuries until he couldn’t anymore, and then he missed a few games. I think hopefully getting a little healthier and now feeling a bit better, that’s played a contribution. And settling in.
Q: At the quarter-mark last year, Andrew Mangiapane was one of the NHL’s best breakout stories. With only three goals so far this season, do you think he’s feeling the weight of following up that career-best campaign and the new contract and all that comes with it?Article content
