Quezon City Mayor Joy Belmonte has condemned a Facebook post written by one of her officials, who said that he would shoot to death those who violate modified enhanced community quarantine guidelines, but said that she understands the latter’s frustration.“Ang pahayag po ng pinuno ng Task Force Disiplina na si Konsehal Rannie Ludovica ay amin pong kinokondena. Ito po ay mali . It is inappropriate, it is irresponsible,” Belmonte said on Tuesday in a public briefing.
Belmonte’s remarks came after Ludovica earned a backlash after posting on his Facebook account on Monday : “Mula bukas shoot to kill na ang lalabag sa MECQ .”
