The Executive Judge of Quezon City has denied reports that a personnel of the Regional Trial Court (RTC) or Metropolitan Trial Court (MeTC) in the city died of suspected coronavirus disease (COVID-19).

Executive Judge Cecilyn Burgos-Villavert said that unconfirmed reports have circulated that a personnel of another agency holding office at the Quezon City Hall of Justice died of severe pneumonia and suspected COVID-19 ailment.

The report also noted that the said employee went to the Quezon City Hall of Justice a few days before the death which needs further verification. If indeed true, the statement read that contact tracing and building disinfection must be done “upon the authority given by the Honorable Jose Midas Marquez, Court Administrator, the hall of Justice , Quezon City will be on lockdown beginning May 18, 2020 until further notice.’’“Pursuant to Supreme Court Administrative Circular No.
