The Russian President has doubled down on Moscow's decision to invade Ukraine but made a surprise concession while laying some of the blame on the West in an interview which aired on Christmas Day.

Mykhailo Podolyak, an adviser to Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelensky, slammed the Russian leader and argued he had to"come back to reality".
