Russians feel their President has done too little, too late to turn their fortunes around in Ukraine. And he may just have celebrated his last birthday in power as a result.
On Monday October 10, the Russian military launched a series of massive missile and long-range drone strikes against key targets across the entire country.
Massive power issues meanwhile affected the distribution of food and fuel; shelves in many shops were emptied as fears of the war escalation triggered panic buying. Should Russia’s air and missile assault continue, Europe is likely to face an even greater exodus of war refugees, which would put additional pressures on the welfare systems of the EU nations. It is clear Russia’s political leadership is busy weighing up the strategic gains they earned through the latest round of strikes.
He was said to be instrumental in striking the so-called grain deal, which allowed the shipment of agricultural goods from Ukraine’s ports.

Democrats worry over Biden’s cognitive decline as Joe ‘nudges world into nuclear war’A majority of Democrats are concerned about Joe Biden's 'mental condition' as the US president seems to be nudging the world into a hot nuclear war with Russia, Sky News host James Morrow says. The latest I&I/TIPP poll found that 64 per cent of American voters are 'concerned' over the president's mental health. In an earlier August poll, respondents were asked how concerned were they over the president's mental health. Overall, 59 per cent said they were worried about his mental health – the responses included 82 per cent of Republicans, 56 per cent of independents, but just 39 per cent of Democrats. In the most recent October poll, respondents were asked the same question. This time, the overall number grew to 64 per cent, or nearly two-thirds of all voters, according to Issues & Insights. 'Virtually all of that came from Democrats, who went from just 39 per cent expressing 'concern' over Biden's mental health in August, a high number in itself, to 52 per cent in the latest poll,' Mr Morrow said. 'To repeat – a majority of Democrats now also think Biden possibly has mental health issues and could be suffering form cognitive decline.'

Vladimir Putin is ‘cornered’ fighting a ‘two-front war’Former CIA Director Leon Panetta says Russian President Vladimir Putin feels cornered. “He’s fighting a two-front war, he’s fighting a war against Moscow and the hardliners who are criticising him for losing this war, and he’s fighting a war in Ukraine,” Mr Panetta told Sky News Australia host Piers Morgan. “So, Putin is cornered, and that makes him dangerous because when you corner a bully, a bully can be very dangerous. “I think that’s the situation we’re facing right now.”
