Eduardo ensuring that justice was both collective and symbolic highlighted the strength and unity of a nation rising from the ashes of war. Previous episodes also showed Hiroshi (David Licauco) saying his final words after being stabbed by Japanese soldiers. The sad news was delivered to Adelina (Barbie Forteza) by her siblings Teresita (Sanya Lopez) and Eduardo. But to their surprise, Hiroshi returned, fulfilling his promise to Adelina that he would return alive despite the heavy toll of the war. The Philippines was able to raise its flag once again, signaling a new chapter for the nation and a testament to the indomitable spirit of the Filipino people, who stood together to rebuild their homeland. Eduardo and Teresita soon married, taking care of Juan (Tyro Gabriel Daylusan) and also welcoming their three children named after their late parents, Carmela, Filipina, and Julio.
