Public servants with PSAC to begin voting on ratifying new contracts later this month

PSAC said votes are to begin on May 24 and end on June 16 at 12 p.m. as part of what it called an \u0022expedited ratification process.\u0022

The deals include compounded wage increases totalling 12.6 per cent over the agreement’s term and new protections against contracting out. They also include protections regarding decisions about remote work, detailed in a letter outside of the collective agreement.According to the union, PSAC-Union of Taxation Employees members will have to participate in aA live Q&A held on Zoom with PSAC-UTE bargaining team members will be available to members following the information sessions.

Members will receive a link by email to vote after attending an information session and can vote at any time up until the deadline.Article content In-person sessions will be taking place across the country, from St. John’s, Nfld. to Vancouver, B.C. with dates, times and locations to become available in the coming days.
