PSM Madiun is the founding club of PSSI which has been dormant for too long. Approaching the age of one century, 'Bull Wilis' issued a hope to change the line of fate.

"We want to revive PSM Madiun so that it is not just known as a founder of PSSI, but can consistently compete in the competition. We are targeting to obtain a promotion ticket to Liga 2 in the 2023 season of Liga 3," said Chairman of PSM Madiun Nono Djati Kusumo in Madiun, Friday ."In essence, the PSM squad had been prepared to become one of the participants in the National League 3 as the ambassador for the East Java region in 2022.
PSM's last participation in the East Java Liga 3 was in 2019. At that time, they were appointed as the host of Group A at Wilis Stadium, Madiun City. Attention from supporters was shown by the Madioensche Vokoid Brigade , a PSM supporter group that was established in the mid-2010s. With its tribune facilities and lighting, Wilis Stadium, which serves as the home base for PSM Madiun, is suitable for hosting matches in Liga 3 and Liga 2.
