A man and a woman are facing charges in relation to two convenience store armed robberies in Durham. On Wednesday, November 16, just before 7 a.m., officers

On Wednesday, November 16, just before 7 a.m.,Officers say a man went into the store, armed with a gun and demanded cash. He fled the store on foot.

Two days later, on Friday, officers were called to the Circle K in the area of Taunton Road East and Trulls Road for another armed robbery.He took the cash and smokes and ran to a nearby vehicle driven by a woman.Police eventually located the suspect vehicle in the area of Highway 2 and Farrow Avenue in Newcastle.The suspects fled on foot to a nearby field where they were tracked by the K-9 Unit and PSD Klutch.Further investigation linked the two suspects to the November 16 robbery.

Kenneth Wingfield, 43, of Oshawa is facing several charges, including: robbery using a restricted or prohibited firearm x 2; dangerous operation of a conveyance; disguise with intent x 2 and flight from peace officer.
