Two men have been taken into custody over a suspicious house fire that destroyed a $24 million Sydney property earlier this year.
A 69-year-old property developer is one of two men arrested as part of an investigation into a suspicious house fire on Sydney's lower north shore earlier this year.The property belonged to fund manager Ouyang "Owen" Chen and had been valued at more than $24m
The property belonged to fund manager Ouyang "Owen" Chen and his wife Xiao Hong Li, and had been valued at more than $24 million.In August last year the Lane Cove Council rejected an application to partially demolish and significantly alter the house next door, citing 26 reasons including heritage concerns over the house that burned down.There is no suggestion the development application rejection is related to the fire.
