Prohibited driver charged with dangerous driving after collision

THUNDER BAY — A resident of Thunder Bay is charged with multiple offences including driving while prohibited and dangerous driving in connection with a collision that happened Sunday.

Police were dispatched shortly after noon to the intersection of Golf Links Road and the Harbour Expressway. They learned that a sedan had been travelling at high speed before going out of control and crashing into a traffic light post and an SUV that had been stopped in a turn lane.Several beer cans were observed inside the vehicle, and the man failed a roadside sobriety test.The man appeared Monday in bail court and was remanded into custody with a future appearance date.
