SINGAPORE: Are you longing for a holiday getaway but don’t have enough leave days left to go too far? We’ve got some good news for you. ONE15 Marina Nirup Island in Indonesia opened last month, and it’s less than eight nautical miles from Sentosa Cove, Singapore.

The holiday destination is located off Batam, Indonesia and is described as the “epitome of eco-luxury living”, offering the “perfect blend of luxury and adventure.”At present, there’s a restaurant, bar, sea sports centre, and laundry and shower rooms.Photo: FB screengrab/ONE15 Marina Nirup Island IndonesiaBut a luxury hotel is in the offing for the next phase of the island’s development, with 94 rooms and 52 villas.

Additionally, “We are committed to marine and environmental conservation as we believe in preserving the island’s natural beauty for future generations to enjoy. As such, we have implemented various eco-friendly practices at our marina, such as, recycling and energy conservation, to minimize our impact on the environment,” the venue’s website says.
