Prince Harry believes his highly-publicised relationship with Meghan Markle threatened to 'steal the limelight' from other members of the family.
Prince Harry has claimed stereotyping of his wife by Prince William and sister-in-law Kate led to the"awesome foursome" not getting on from the"get-go".
Prince Harry sat down for an interview with British broadcaster ITV to speak about his book Spare ahead of its release this week. Picture: Jane Barlow/PA Images via Getty Images "Well, American actress, divorced, biracial, there's – there's all different parts to that and what that can mean," he said when asked to clarify what he meant.
The 38-year-old spoke about how he hoped all his brother and their respective wives would be able to navigate royal life together but that did not pan out as he imagined. Leaked excerpts of the book mentioned feuds between Meghan and Kate over the infamous bridesmaid dress argument, a disagreement over lip gloss and how the Princess of Wales was hurt by a baby comment made by the Suits actress.
Meghan said she couldn't remember but then added: “I remember. You had forgotten something and I said that it didn’t matter, that it was because of pregnancy. Because you just had a child. Because of the hormones".The Duke of Sussex claimed she spoke to all her friends that way before William stepped in and accused Meghan of being"rude" to his wife.
