Enough suspected fentanyl to yield 14,000 doses uncovered in month-long investigation
Prince George RCMP’s Street Crew Unit appeared to have made a significant seizure of a deadly opioid.
Exactly what was seized remains subject to testing, but RCMP said a pair of search warrants executed this month may have yielded 1,400 grams of fentanyl - enough to provide 14,000 doses of the illicit drug. 170 grams of suspected methamphetamine and 28 grams of suspected cocaine were also seized RCMP said.
The seizures were made after search warrants were executed on the 1700-block of 17 Avenue and the 2600-block of Recplace Drive and were part of a month-long investigation by the SCU. One man was arrested and later released pending completion of the investigation. The suspect's name was not released.
