The official week will culminate in a three-year celebration on Saturday at UHNBC
Yesterday the flag was raised at both City Hall and Mr. PG to declare the week UHNBC Prince George Traditional Drummers Week in honour of the group.
After that initial stretch, the group began hosting an open drum circle, rain or shine, at UHNBC every Monday night. “For the past three years the drumming group, regardless of weather, have spent Monday evenings in front of UHNBC spreading love, healing and support to front line workers and those friends, family and neighbours recovering inside,” said Coun. Tim Bennett, who attended the flag raising.
