Racers celebrate Yip and all he meant to the local cycling community
More than 150 riders took to the streets Saturday morning to ride in the second annual Kris Yip Memorial Fondo, to celebrate Yip and all he meant to the local cycling community.
The longer route was completed by the fastest cyclists in just over three hours while the shorter loop took almost two hours to finish. Brett Boniface won the 120-km Eaglet Lake Epic men's event in a time of 3:07:10.8, while the women's event was won by Nikki Kassel with a time of 3:19:37.8.The men's Tabor Lake event was won by Mark Isaacs in 1:55:45.9, with Erica Kreitz taking the women's event in 1:56:51.5.
