Taylor Rooks , Blake Griffin , and Dirk Nowitzki will join Prime Video 's studio show for their coverage of the NBA starting next season. Griffin, who retired in April after a 15-year career, was a highly sought-after analyst, with NBC and ESPN also interested in him. Griffin was the number one overall pick by the Los Angeles Clippers in the 2009 NBA Draft and won Rookie of the Year in 2011.
He also won the 2011 Slam Dunk Contest, famously dunking over a parked car, and was a six-time All-Star and five-time All-NBA selection. Nowitzki, a member of the NBA's 75th Anniversary Team, will also debut as an analyst. The 14-time All-Star and 2007 NBA MVP played 21 seasons with the Dallas Mavericks before retiring in 2019 and was inducted into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame in 2023. Rooks currently works as a feature reporter for Prime Video's 'Thursday Night Football' coverage, as well as hosting and reporting for Bleacher Report and TNT. Prime Video will have 66 regular-season games, including all games from the quarterfinals of the in-season NBA Cup. They also have every game of the play-in tournament, first- and second-round playoff games, and one of the conference finals in six of the 11 years
