The veteran politician in Port Coquitlam is being honoured with a special day on Nov. 20, 2024, to mark his 25 years of public service.
Nov. 20, 2024, is being dedicated as "Darrell Penner Day" in the municipality to recognize his 25 years on council.
First sworn into office on Dec. 6, 1999, Penner is best known for his work on environmental and infrastructure projects. Still, “it’s not just me. Collectively, I’ve been a part of some very, very good decisions by council.”
