Police have received 10 complaints from the New Sudbury area with individuals targeting women pushing shopping carts with their purse in the cart
Greater Sudbury Police are warning the public of an increase in reports of what are termed “distraction thefts” in the New Sudbury area.
Although it has not been determined that the same individual are responsible for all the reported incidents, the distraction techniques are similar. Officers are in the process of obtaining and reviewing video surveillance footage to establish physical descriptions of those involved.
