Police are searching for three men after receiving several reports of alleged theft.
Police are searching for three men after graves were allegedly robbed at the Gungahlin Cemetery in Canberra's north.
A family found a large pink quartz stone had been removed and a granite plaque was pulled from a grave site they visited about 4.30pm on Monday. They had been at the site the day before, meaning it had allegedly been targeted between Sunday and Monday afternoon.A family found a large pink quartz stone had been removed from a grave site at the Gungahlin Cemetery. A woman reported her phone was stolen while she was visited a family member's grave.A man returned to his car to find another man allegedly attempting to break into his car on Monday afternoon.
"The man attempting to break into the car allegedly left the scene with two other men in a white 4WD style vehicle with ACT registration," police said.They are also appealing to the public for information on any other incidents that may have occurred at the cemetery recently.
