THUNDER BAY -- Police are requesting the public avoid an area encompassing several blocks in Thunder Bay's south end, citing an ongoing investigation.

The situation presents a potential risk to public safety, said a Thunder Bay Police Service representative, adding the force has significant resources in the area.
