Detectives allege a woman was stopped in her car near a school and approached by an unknown man who produced a knife before driving off in her car.
Police are seeking help to find a man who allegedly stole a car at knifepoint near a school yesterday afternoon.Detectives allege two women were stopped in their vehicles by a man with the same descriptionPolice are investigating after a woman was allegedly carjacked at knifepoint in Mackay.
"He approached her and opened the driver's door and demanded that she exited the vehicle," Mackay Whitsunday District Detective Inspector Emma Novosel said."She exited her vehicle and the male person got in the car and drove away."Detective Inspector Novosel said the woman had been going to an appointment at Victoria Park State School but did not have children with her.
"The car is still outstanding ... it's a blue 2019 Ford Endura station wagon and has personalised plates 38 KLA."A second woman from the same area has also come forward to say a man had approached her on February 14. Investigations have revealed the man, in his mid-to-late 30s, attended the Ampol Service Station at Farleigh about 5pm on the same day.
