The footage shows a man dressed in a dark suit walking down a hallway and into a room the day before a 31-year-old woman reported a sexual assault to police.

Seven months after a woman was allegedly sexually assaulted inside a Kings Cross brothel, police have released CCTV footage of a man wanted for questioning.

On August 18 last year, a 31-year-old woman reported that she had been sexually assaulted by a man at the business on Kellett Street, NSW Police say. Despite extensive inquiries, detectives attached to Kings Cross police area command have been unable to identify a man they believe may be able to assist with their inquiries.

The two minutes of footage, starting at 2.46pm on Wednesday, August 17, shows a man dressed in a dark suit and white button-up shirt walk through the reception doors while briefly glancing at his silver watch. The man, who is wearing reading glasses and has grey hair, appears to exchange a few words with the receptionist before turning and walking into a hallway. His face is clearly visible.

It then cuts to a hallway at the top of some stairs where he seemingly tries to turn a door handle. Five seconds later, the door is opened from the inside. He walks into a room and the door shuts behind him.Police describe the man as being of Indian appearance, aged between 65 and 70 and of a large build. They describe his hair as short and white or “greying”.They urged anyone with information that could help to contact Kings Cross Police or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
