The Children's Hospital at Westmead was the location of a police operation on Tuesday morning.
NSW Police confirmed to SkyNews.com.au the operation had begun just before 8am on Hawkesbury Street in western Sydney.
But after emergency services swarmed the area for over an hour, police confirmed the operation had concluded shortly after 9am.The public were told to avoid the area and follow the instructions of emergency personnel. Following the operation, police thanked the public for their"patience and understanding" throughout the morning."We are not going to disclose what the operation was about," a police spokesperson told SkyNews.com.au.
