“ came to a stop briefly before turning right onto 8 Ave. and accelerating toward the military parade. The parade was approximately 100 metres away,” reads the Alberta Serious Response Team decision. It was then that another officer’s body-worn camera began capturing the action, in which the driver of the Corolla attempted to turn around after mounting the sidewalk when confronted by a number of police members who yelled at him to stop.

One of the photos from the body camera shows the moment the officer fired at point blank range at the car, a shell casing flying from the handgun.
