The BC Highway Patrol (BCHP) says officers handed out more than 30 tickets, including 20 for speeding, to drivers following traffic enforcement on the West Shore.
The BC Highway Patrol in Langford caught a driver speeding 143 km/h in a posted 90 km/h zone, Friday, Aug. 4, 2023. Police say this driver's vehicle was impounded.
These operations resulted in 20 tickets for speeding, eight tickets for illegal vehicle defects, four tickets with vehicle impoundments for excessive speeding and one immediate 90-day roadside prohibition for impaired driving, according to police.
