Former Region 4 Marine Police Chief DSP Sammy Newton has been appointed as Penampang acting district police chief, replacing DSP Mohd Haris Ibrahim, who is now Kudat district police chief.

He said operations are being carried out by the Criminal Investigation Department at the Sabah State Police Contingent Headquarters.“There have been several arrests related to this issue in the State. “The latest arrest involving child pornography was earlier this year in Putatan,” he told a press conference and said the statistics would be provided through a statement.
