Victoria Police have launched a homicide investigation after officers discovered a critically injured man in a vehicle late on Sunday night.

Images from the north-west Melbourne suburb appeared to show a large bullet hole through the windscreen.Police are also at another crime scene around the corner where a car has crashed. It is believed the two incidents are linked. Homicide Squad detectives are investigating the death as they try to establish the circumstances surrounding the death.
