Police issue warrant for suspected arsonist of two northwest Calgary homes in spring yyc
Calgary police have said since early in the investigation of two arsons that one person was believed to have been involved in fires at two Varsity houses that occurred on May 18 and June 4. A separate house fire on June 4 was reported to emergency crews around 5 a.m. in the 1200 block of Varsity Estates Road N.W. Firefighters began putting out the blaze while working to remove five people from the home.Article content No one was injured in either fire, however, residents of both homes and some neighbours were displaced because of the damage caused.
In both incidents, police believe the suspect was car prowling in the neighbourhood before setting the fire.
