KUALA LUMPUR: Police have confirmed that a man was attacked in front of a district police headquarters in the east coast, footage of which went viral on social media on Friday (Aug 11).

"I can confirm that the incident occurred on the east coast and our investigation is ongoing," said Deputy Inspector-General of Police Datuk Seri Ayob Khan Mydin Pitchay.

A 14-second long video clip shows a man on a motorcycle with a PAS flag on his back being assaulted by several men. "We will conduct further investigation regarding this matter, according to Integrity and Standard Compliance. He also urged Kelantanese not to carry out any act of provocation ahead of the vote-tallying process.
