Human remains found in a unit complex in Alderley in Brisbane's north are female, police have confirmed.
Cleaners contracted by the Department of Housing, found the body hidden in a void behind a brick wall at the Alderley Avenue property on Wednesday morning. Police said the body, believed to have been there for some months, was partially buried, and tightly wrapped in clothing and bedding.Forensic samples taken from the scene have been sent for testing, including fingerprint analysis from a number of items found there.Detectives from Hendra Criminal Investigation Branch and the Homicide Unit have established Operation Uniform Pepperina to investigate the circumstances of the death.
