West Australian police say they were notified of a crash about 350 kilometres west of the South Australian border, but it is unknown if there are any casualties.

WA Police say they were alerted about the crash just before 10am, about 350 kilometres west of the South Australian border in the Caiguna area. There are no details yet of how many people were on board, if there were any casualties or where the plane had flown from.It is the second light plane crash this year in the remote region.

In March, a pilot was killed when the Cessna he was flying for low-level geographical surveys crashed in dense bushland, 120km west of Norseman.
