POCO is set to unveil the POCO F5 series in the near future and now, we’ve got confirmation of what processor would be powering the POCO F5. Revealed by Qualcomm via its Snapdragon India Twitter account, the F5 will feature the new Snapdragon 7+ Gen 2 SoC under the hood.

In the tweet, Qualcomm said that this would be the first appearance of the new mid-range chipset in India when the F5 series launches. Hence, it’s possible that the lineup would be launched in India first before making its way to other markets. Moreover, Qualcomm also revealed that the processor would exert 50 per cent higher overall performance, 13 per cent improved power efficiency and twice the AI performance compared to the Snapdragon 7 Gen 1. The processor is already powering a Xiaomi-affiliated phone, the Redmi Note 12 Turbo and based on rumours, the F5 will be a rebranded version of the device.

As of the time of writing, POCO has yet to reveal when exactly the F5 series will launch. Hence, make sure to stay tuned to TechNave for the latest development on this and for more trending tech news!
