PN MP kicked out of Dewan again FMTNews
Pendang MP Awang Hashim was suspended for two days from the Dewan Rakyat on March 8 for repeatedly disrupting a minister’s winding-up speech.
KUALA LUMPUR: Awang Hashim has been kicked out of the Dewan Rakyat again, the second time in this meeting. Dewan Rakyat deputy speaker Alice Lau told Awang to leave the House for one hour after he refused to retract a statement he made against natural resources, environment and climate change minister Nik Nazmi Nik Ahmad.Earlier, Awang had accused Nik Nazmi of lying and issuing a false statement on the size of Malay reserve land in Kedah.
While the minister had said the size of Malay reserve land in the state had decreased in 2022, the PAS man claimed he had evidence it showed otherwise. Awang, a former deputy human resources minister, had been ordered to leave the Dewan Rakyat on March 8 for repeatedly disrupting economy minister Rafizi Ramli’s winding-up speech on Budget 2023.On March 29, Nik Nazmi told the Dewan Rakyat there was a decrease in the size of Malay reserve land in Kedah, Perak and Kuala Lumpur last year.
