PUTRAJAYA: Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim attended a breaking of the fast event to fete youths at the Seri Perdana Complex here on Wednesday (April 5).

Hosted by the Higher Education Ministry and the Youth and Sports Ministry, the event was attended by students, athletes, ministry personnel as well as 24 orphans from Rumah Bakti Al-Kausar.

National Paralympic athletes Bonnie Bunyau Gustin and Mohamad Ridzuan Mohamad Puzi as well as archer Mohd Juwaidi Mazuki were among those present. Higher Education Minister Datuk Seri Mohamed Khaled Nordin, Youth and Sports Minister Hannah Yeoh and Deputy Higher Education Minister Datuk Mohd Yusof Apdal were also in attendance.

Anwar was seen mingling with the guests before he proceeded to perform the congregational Maghrib, Isyak and tarawih prayers. - Bernama
