Andoo Comanche’s Sailing Master and Helm has reflected on a very “intense” race which saw the supermax claim line honours in the Sydney to Hobart.
Sailing Master Iain Murray joined Andoo Comanche after a series of wins with Hamilton Island Wild Oats, who crossed the line fourth in this year’s race.
With 23 other crew members part of the Andoo Comanche team, Mr Murray said it has been a “great process” bringing the team together. “Very different to the crew on Wild Oats who have been together for 20 odd years,” he told Sky News Australia. “It’s been a very different experience, both of them were great, but this one is a bit more playful I would say.”
