A FILIPINO sailor from Pampanga serving at a United States Navy hospital in Guam has been featured in an article in American Connections Media Outreach.

Petty Officer 1st Class William Cruz mainly serves at the Navy Medicine Readiness and Training Command.A graduate of the Pampanga Agricultural College in 1989, Cruz joined the US Navy in 2007 and serves as the hospital's corpsman.He said the skills and values needed to succeed in the US Navy are not foreign to him.'I was in the Boy Scouts and did a lot of volunteering,' Cruz told American Connections. 'The Navy is also a volunteer organization.
