Around 11:30 p.m., RCMP officers were called to a reported home invasion on West River Drive where two men allegedly forced their way into the residence and assaulted a 62-year-old man, a 30-year-old man and a 25-year-old woman and proceeded to damage vehicles parked outside before fleeing the scene.One of the victims identified the suspects as 23-year-old Jared Hugh Sutherland and 26-year-old Nathan David Gormley, both of whom were located and arrested a short time later.

They are each charged with two counts of assault causing bodily harm, two counts of mischief, breaking and entering committing offence, theft and uttering threats. Sutherland has an additional charge of overcoming resistance to a commission of offence, while Gormley picked up another assault charge. Both were released on conditions following provincial court appearances on April 11 and are due back before a judge on April 29.
