“The Rotary Club of Picton’s steadfast support of the hospital and the community at large is both inspirational and longstanding,” said Coull. “The foundation’s partnership with the Rotary Club of Picton spans more than 20 years. Picton Rotary has contributed over $182,000 which has helped fund essential equipment needed at our County hospital and now Backs the Build for our new hospital.
“We are thrilled to continue to support worthy causes in the community, including the building of our new County hospital,” said Proctor. “Rotary’s motto of Service Above Self was enacted by fundraising and supporting worthy projects both locally and internationally and we are grateful to everyone who participates in our events or purchases a cash calendar year after year. The Rotary Club of Picton is fortunate to have many long-serving people in the Club.
“The work of the hospital foundation and campaign cabinet would not be possible without philanthropic leaders in the community, and their commitment to making a difference, as the Rotary Club of Picton continues to do,” said Coull. “The ongoing support from both of our local Rotary Clubs is another excellent example of the collaborative effort underway across Prince Edward County to help get our new, leading-edge hospital built and equipped with modern medical equipment.
