The Philippine National Police (PNP) is prepared to face potential charges from Vice President Sara Duterte, following an altercation involving law enforcement during the transfer of her chief of staff to a hospital.

The Philippine National Police (PNP) has declared its readiness to face potential charges from Vice President Sara Duterte over an altercation involving law enforcement officers during the transfer of her chief of staff , lawyer Zuleika Lopez, to a hospital. The PNP Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG) chief Brigadier General Nicolas Torre III stated that they welcome any legal action from Duterte, including charges of disobedience, kidnapping, and robbery.

The conflict occurred on November 23, when Duterte and Colonel Raymond Dante Lachica reportedly clashed with police officers from the Quezon City Police District over the transfer. In response, the QCPD filed charges against Duterte, Lachica, and two unidentified individuals for direct assault, disobedience, and grave coercion. The PNP has deferred to the DOJ and NBI for further legal action due to the complexity of the case
