The Philippine Open is back with a revamped course at the Manila Southwoods Masters designed to challenge top Asian Tour players.

The Manila Southwoods Masters course will be a tough test for the Asian Tour players competing in the revived Philippine Open. The par-72 course will be modified to a par-70 and stretched to over 7,200 yards for the $500,000 championship. Holes 4 and 15 have been lengthened to par-4s, making them challenging for even the best players. The Masters, a Jack Nicklaus-designed course, will host the Asia's oldest national championship from January 23-26.

The club is making sure the course is in top condition after being damaged by Typhoon Kristine a few months ago. The event will showcase the quality of the course and the beauty of the Philippines
