The CLEMENCEAU 25 comprises the aircraft carrier FS Charles De Gaulle, its accompanying air group, three escorting frigates, a fleet oiler, and a nuclear-powered attack submarine. This contingent commenced its deployment from its home port of Toulon in late November and is scheduled to cruise around the Red Sea before proceeding to the Indo-Pacific.Rear Admiral Ezpeleta expressed his enthusiasm for collaborating with the French Navy and its carrier strike group deployment, stating, 'We are looking forward to working with you and are very excited to see all the capabilities.' He also acknowledged France's valuable contributions to the AFP modernization program.
