The Philippine National Police (PNP) announced a significant reshuffle of officers, with 10 senior officials being reassigned to new positions.
On January 11, 2025, a reshuffle within the Philippine National Police (PNP) saw several senior officers reassigned. Police Brig. Gen. Redrico A. Maranan was appointed as the new regional director of Police Regional Office-7, succeeding Brig. Gen. Jean S. Fajardo who moved to Police Regional Office-3. Meanwhile, Brig. Gen. Roel C. Rodolfo, who recently took charge of the PNP-Anti-Kidnapping Group, was named the new regional director of Police Regional Office-9.
Taking over Rodolfo's position in the PNP-Anti-Kidnapping Group is Police Col. Elmer Ragay. Other notable changes include Police Col. Randulf T. Tuaño becoming the new chief of the PNP-Public Information Office and PNP spokesperson, replacing Fajardo. Police Brig. Gen. Bowenn Joey Masauding was designated as the deputy director of the Directorate for Comptrollership, Police Brig. Gen. Eleazar Matta took over the officer-in-charge role for the Highway Patrol Group (HPG), and Police Col. Rolando Cuya, Jr. replaced Matta as the head of the PNP-Drug Enforcement Group (PDEG). Police Brig. Gen. Wilson Asueta was named as the deputy director of the Directorate for Information and Communications Technology (DICT), and Brig. Gen. William Segun is now the deputy director of the PNP’s Area Police Command in Southern Luzon. Finally, Police Col. Malvin Napiloy was transferred from the PNP-Aviation Security Group (AVSEGRP) to Police Regional Office-Calabarzon
