The Philippine government has extended innovation grants between 2022 and 2023, funding 37 projects across the country. The grants aim to support innovation, particularly among micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs), and contribute to the nation's transformation into a smart and innovative economy.
The grants were extended between 2022 and 2023 and covered a total of 37 projects nationwide across the 10 Innovation Priority Areas.
“These innovation levers aim to support and encourage more innovators, especially among micro, small, and medium enterprises , to venture into innovative products, processes, or services,” he added. The smallest grant was extended to South Cotabato State College for its project titled “Improvement of the Single Row Push-type Plot Seeder with Mechatronic Seed Feeding Device for Corn Field Breeding Experiment.”
The list also includes the “Filipino Anaplastology and Reconstructive Manufacturing Center” of the University of the Philippines Manila-Philippine General Hospital and the “Establishment of a Bamboo Processing School Factory for Manufacturing Engineered-Bamboo and Steel Student Desks and Chairs” of the Romblon State University.
“These budget allocations are the lifeblood of the Innovation Grants, driving innovation projects forward.”
