New England captain Carles Gil suffered a leg injury and left the game early. Philadelphia's Uhre and Harriel scored in the first half, while Gustavo Bou scored for New England in the 68th minute. This is the second time Philadelphia and New England have met in the playoffs.

Gustavo Bou scored for New England in the 68th.

Philadelphia and New England met in the playoffs for the second time after the Revs eliminated the Supporters’ Shield winning Union 2 — 0 in Chester in the first round in 2020.
