The Philippines recorded a total of 24,100 new COVID-19 cases from July 25 to July 31, 2022, the Department of Health (DOH) said Monday. According to the DOH’s weekly COVID-19 case bulletin, the new infections over the past week was 24% higher than the cases reported from July 18 to July 24, when the department logged 19,536 new cases.

Of these deaths, one occurred in June 2022, three in January 2022, two in November 2021, seven in October 2021, 20 in September 2021, and 11 in August 2021. Of the 2,583 intensive care unit beds, 601 or 23.3% are occupied. Meanwhile, 6,505 or 29.5% of the 22,051 non-ICU COVID-19 beds are in use.
