They say the state urgently needs new avenues to attract foreign investments to ensure sustained economic growth.
The lack of industrial land in Penang is limiting the inflow of foreign investments, say the PH elected representatives.
They said Penang has traditionally attracted foreign investments through its electrical and electronic manufacturing sector, securing its position as a top destination for investors. The statement was jointly issued by Bukit Bendera MP Syerleena Abdul Rashid, as well as assemblymen Wong Yuee Harng , Chee Yeeh Keen , Connie Tan , Joshua Woo , K Kumaran , Phee Syn Tze and Lee Boon Heung .
