The Philippine Red Cross (PRC) deployed its “Bakuna” bus in General Santos City on Saturday, Nov. 12 to bring the Covid-19 vaccine closer to people.

The Philippine Red Cross deployed its “Bakuna” bus in General Santos City on Saturday, Nov. 12 to bring the Covid-19 vaccine closer to people.

This was made possible through the “Bakuna” Bus, Bakuna Centers, and Bakuna Teams as well as through partnership with the International Committee of the Red Cross, PRC added. Based on PRC’s Nov. 10 record, a total of 1.2 million Covid-19 doses were already administered nationwide. The “Bakuna” bus is a vehicle designed to safely store Covid-19 vaccines and other medical equipment needed for vaccination.

PRC said that it is their way of bringing the vaccine and Covid-19 information to people residing in hard-to-reach areas.
